- Wild blueberries contains nearly twice as many health-boosting antioxidants as the cultivated blueberries. They are packed with vitamins, minerals, micronutrients, and fiber that can provide various health benefits for both the heart and brain.
- Bananas are high in potassium as well as good dose of magnesium. Both of these nutrients are known to support heart and digestive health. Bananas are great food to eat after a workout, doing so can reduce inflammation and replenish muscle glycogen stores, which promotes fast recovery.
- Cinnamon contains anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-viral properties. Consider adding a pinch of cinnamon to your tea or smoothie on a regular bases.
- Turmeric is famous for containing curcumin, a phytochemical with anti-inflammatory properties.
Wild Blueberry Smoothie

Ingredients:
- 1 cup coconut milk or almond milk
- 2 ripe bananas
- 1 cup frozen wild blueberries
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp turmeric (optional)
Directions:
- Put all the ingredients in the blender starting with plant milk then bananas, blueberries and spices.
- Blend until creamy. Enjoy!
Tip:
- You can also use a can of coconut milk if you don’t have anything else on hand. Coconut milk in the can definitely has more flavour.
- If the smoothie is too thick add more liquid.
- Wild blueberries can be found in most supermarkets in the freezer section.
