This Immune booster shots will warm you up and boost your immune system. It has everything from ginger and turmeric to orange and lemon juice to raw honey. It's packed with antioxidants, anti-inflammatory properties to boost your immunity. This is one of the best ways to boost your immunity for the day.

-Orange is high in Vitamin C, which is also vital for the proper function of healthy immune system, it is good for preventing colds and keep bones and teeth strong.

- Lemon is a good source of vitamins C, B and minerals such as Calcium and Magnesium. It's excellent for weight loss, detoxification the immune system and alkalizing the body.

- Raw Honey is used as an anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and an antibacterial agent. Antioxidants also help to protect your body from cell damage due to free radicals.

-Ginger is known to aid in digestion and is widely regarded to help prevent colds, flu, and motion sickness. Ginger also contains potent ant-inflammatory agents called gingerol and is a powerful painkiller which makes it especially beneficial for those who suffer with joint, muscle and nerve pain.

-Turmeric is famous for containg curcumin, a phytochemical with anti-inflammatory properties.

Super Immune Booster Shots

Yield: 3-4 shots
Total time: 10-15 min

Ingredients:

  • 2 oranges juiced
  • ½ lemon juiced
  • 3 turmeric fingers (roots) sliced small
  • 1 big chunk of fresh ginger sliced small
  • Honey to taste

Direction:

  1. First juice the oranges and lemon and put the juice in the blender.
  2. Wash the ginger and turmeric.
  3. Add the pieces to the blender along with honey. Blend until it turns into a puree.
  4. In the bowl put a strainer over and pour the puree in. Press against the strainer with a spoon and push the juice down.
  5. Once it’s done pour it into little shots and enjoy right away!

Tips:

  • You can put the leftover pulp in the Ziploc bag and freeze it. Once frozen, you can break some pieces off and put them in hot water and make ginger, turmeric tea by steeping it.
  • You can store the juice in the fridge for 24 hours.
  • Keep in mind that turmeric tends to stain everything so be careful where you put it.
  • Slice the ginger and turmeric thin, so it’s easier for the high-speed blender to process through.
