Strawberry Banana Smoothie Bowl

Jump to Recipe

I'm craving strawberries lately. Spring is here which means that the strawberry season is coming soon, but not until late June. We are so lucky that we can enjoy frozen strawberries even in the cold months. This delicious strawberry bowl is fresh and rich in vitamin C, potassium, folic acid and fiber.

Strawberry Banana Smoothie Bowl

Yield: 1
Prep time: 5 min
Total time: 5 min

Ingredients:

  • 2 fresh ripe bananas peeled and cut in chunks
  • 2 cups frozen strawberries
  • 1/4 cup water

Garnish:

  • Strawberries, kiwi, figs, chia seeds, mint or any toppings of your choice.

Direction:

  1. Place all the ingredients in the highspeed blender. Blend until smooth and creamy. If you find it too thick you can add more water by the table spoon.
  2. Garnish with anything you like.
  3. Serve right away. Enjoy!

Tips:

  • You can take it to go just place it in the bottle instead of a bowl.
  • You can also turn them into popsicles, kids and adults will love them.
  • Ripe bananas means that they have brown spots on them. They are much easier to digest when ripe.
  • If you would like to turn this into nice-cream just omit the water if using Vitamix or food processor.
