Pina Colada Smoothie

Jump to Recipe

When I think of the tropics, I think of Pina Colada. This smoothie is heavenly creamy, sweet and packed with two super anti-inflammatory ingredients-pineapple and turmeric. Perfect for boosting your immune system and keep you satisfied. This one is definitely a big hit with kids as much as adults.

- Pineapple is beneficial for digestive health because of an enzyme called bromelain which is known to reduce inflammation.

- Bananas are high in potassium as well as a good dose of magnesium. Both of these nutrients are known to support heart and digestive health. Bananas are a great food to eat after working out. As it can reduce inflammation and replenish muscle glycogen stores, which promotes fast recovery.

-Turmeric is famous for containing curcumin, a phytochemical with anti-inflammatory properties.
