My 5-Day Water Fasting Experience ( NO FOOD)
Jump to RecipeWater fasting is one of the most natural ways to give your body time to rest, reset, and heal. It’s a practice where you abstain from food and drink only water for a set period — whether that’s 24 hours, 3 days, or even longer. During this time, your body shifts its focus from digesting food to repairing cells, balancing hormones, and reducing inflammation.
I decided to do a 5-day water fast because I had been feeling some stiffness in my joints and occasional headaches from a past concussion. I wanted to give my body a deeper chance to heal, calm inflammation, and restore balance.
This time, I prepared better than ever — eating clean the week before, meditating daily, and adding grey sea salt to my water for electrolytes. And what a difference it made! My energy stayed strong, my mind was clear, and the entire experience felt incredibly peaceful.
Every fasting journey is unique, but what I’ve learned is that preparation, mindset, and calmness are everything. When you approach fasting with intention — not restriction — it becomes a beautiful tool for healing and self-awareness.
