This Anti-Inflammatory green smoothie will help to reduce your overall amount of chronic inflammation while satisfying your taste buds. It's also a great way to supply your body with fibre, antioxidants and enzymes which will help you to detoxify your body. Now, who doesn't love that?

-Pineapple is a powerful antioxidant and inflammation reducer.

-Dark leafy greens will help your body get rid of toxins, excess weight, sugar cravings and as a result reduce inflammation. The cilantro herb, in particular, helps get rid of Heavy Metals.

-Cucumber contains antioxidants, including flavonoids which prevent the accumulation of harmful free radicals, which means it may reduce the risk of chronic disease.

-Bananas reduce inflammation and replenish muscle glycogen stores, which promotes fast recovery, especially after workouts. Potassium and magnesium in bananas are known to support heart and digestive health.

Green Detox Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup coconut water or water
  • ½ cucumber cut into chunks
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen pineapple
  • 1 ripe fresh or frozen banana
  • 2 cups spinach
  • 1 handful of cilantro herb

Directions:

  1. Put all the ingredients in the blender starting with coconut water, cucumber, pineapple, banana, and greens.
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy.

Tip:

  • If you have a hard time digesting raw greens, you can make this into a juice but omit the banana. Blend all the ingredients except for the banana and strain the puree through a nut milk bag. Squeeze all the juice out and you will have yourself a green juice, with tons of nutrients instead of a smoothie.
