What is Carob, you may ask?

Carob powder, also called carob flour is a cocoa powder alternative. Carob is made from dried roasted carob tree pods and looks a lot like cocoa powder. Carob powder is often used as a natural sweetener in baked goods. It's sweet and has a unique taste.

Yields: 10 cookies

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F. Line the cookie tray with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl peel and mash 3 bananas until look like pudding. Add the remaining 3 ingredients and mix well.
  3. Using a large tablespoon scoop the batter 2 times and place it on the baking tray. If you prefer small cookies then use 1 tbsp. Two tablespoons make a medium cookie.
  4. Make sure they are about 2 inches apart.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes. Take them out and let them cool for 10 min before removing them from the tray. Enjoy!

Tip

  • Store in the fridge for up to 4 days, if they last.
  • You can use cacao powder if you wish for a more chocolaty flavor.
